The Roccone farmhouse: a journey through culture,nature and the flavours of Mount Amiata
The Roccone is the spur of rock where this farmhouse has stood for over one and a half century. This property of 130 hectars is located in the middle of the Pigelleto Nature Reserve, closed to the Mount Amiata, in the province of Siena. It is one of the wildest and quietest places in Tuscany.
The recently renovated farmahouse can accommodate 12 people and is surrounded by fields and secular woods that are crossed by signposted paths. In Summer the temperatures are never too high as the Roccone is located 800 m above sea level.
In this area nature can be throughly enjoyed in every season also through Forest bathing walks to get rid of stress, and through the outdoor ecological wooden tub (max 7 people) that could be used even in cooler months with hot water.
The farmhouse the Roccone is closed to the most important Tuscan cultural sites.
This ideal place for families and medium size groups gives everyone the possibility to share time with others enjoying the maximum comfort.
The Roccone Farmhouse
To reach the farmhouse you have to drive for 2 km on an unpaved winding road. The farmhouse is completely surrounded by uncontaminated nature and it is exclusively suitable for people that feel at ease in natural habitats

Access 2 hours from Rome and Perugia, 1 hour from Orvieto and Chiusi Railway stations. The last two km are of unpaved road in good conditions

The farmhouse built in 1859 and renovated in 2014 it has very large bedrooms and spacious dining room and kitchen, a laundry area with a washing machine and a dryer, a chapel, a separate annexe of 50 m2 and an old big oven made by stone, an outdoor wooden tub for 7 people to enjoy the beautiful panorama standing in the water
Hospitality upon request a person will be available throughout your stay to help you to organise trips, dinners at home and wine tastings. You can also hire cars or minibuses with or without chauffer
